Today, Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) unveiled its new anniversary logo. The logo celebrates 15 years of Canadian clean technology innovation and is accompanied by the tagline: Celebrating 15 years of Canadian clean tech.
“We have a lot to celebrate,” said Leah Lawrence, president and CEO of SDTC. “Since 2001 we have actively worked to fund and support a portfolio of more than 320 clean technology projects representing an investment of $928 million and a market capitalization of $3.38 billion. SDTC’s funding of clean tech drives job creation, productivity and economic prosperity. Our staff and portfolio companies are key to our success and we look forward to rolling out a number of initiatives during our 15th year celebration that will highlight their contributions and efforts.”
Developed in conjunction with Calgary-based Blunt Strategic, the SDTC anniversary logo will be used for the duration of SDTC’s anniversary year, 2016. Said principal of Blunt Strategic Agnes Zalewski, “This anniversary logo honours SDTC’s history as a Canadian clean tech organization, and continues to use the iconic Canadian maple leaf as the focal image for the logo, as have all the logo incarnations that have gone before it. The dots and lines within the leaf represent connectivity, signaling SDTC’s role as a catalyst and convener for the clean tech industry. The fresh colour palette of greens, blues and yellows represents the elements of air, water and land that SDTC protects through its continued investment in innovation and technology.”
