Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) is a non-profit foundation created, and primarily funded, by the Government of Canada. SDTC works to advance the development and demonstration of new cleantech projects in Canada. Since its creation in 2001, SDTC has allocated $950 million to 330 projects that are transforming clean technology ideas into new products that are delivering significant environmental benefits to Canada—in the areas of climate change mitigation, clean air, clean water, and clean soil.

Description of Services

Since 2015, Blunt Strategic has been providing a full suite of communications, marketing and creative services to SDTC, including a full rebranding of the organization in 2016. Starting with the preparation of a detailed annual communications plan at the commencement of the year, Blunt works with SDTC’s public affairs team to then develop, execute and implement a variety of communications and marketing tactics. Blunt is engaged on a monthly basis to provide strategic consulting services, editing and writing support, and creative executions that lead to the professional and appropriate representation of the SDTC organization.

Blunt Strategic is an integral part of SDTC’s public affairs team and in its time working for SDTC has provided a variety of products and services including: a corporate rebrand and all associated brand assets; brand guidelines document; copy style guide; press releases; web updates; various marketing material; external presentations; project descriptions; editing and design of the Corporate Report; planning and execution of the Annual Public Meeting; advertising and promotional campaigns; and speaking notes for executives and staff.

Agnes has been a lifesaver! We have been working with Blunt Strategic since 2015 on a variety of communications and marketing projects, including the rebranding of the SDTC organization. We have greatly benefited from Agnes’s years of applicable experience and knowledge in communications and marketing. She produces high quality material, provides valuable advice on all aspects of strategic communications and gives our work an external eye that has dramatically improved our efforts.
